17th Nishiyodogawa Ward Ekiden Race & 11th Family Mini- Marathon

✼Ekiden is a traditional Japanese race format where multiple runners hand off a single sash (tasuki) in a relay style to cover a long-distance course.

1. Event Date and Time
   Sunday, February 15, 2026 (Reiwa 8)
   Opening Ceremony: 12:00 PM　✼Rain Out

2. Venue
   Nishiyodogawa Park & Onogawa Ryokuin Doro

3. Eligibility

   • Participants must reside, work, or study within Nishiyodogawa Ward.
   • Ekiden Race: Open to middle school students and above.
   • Family Mini-Marathon: Children must be elementary school students or younger.

4. Recruitment Quotas

   • Ekiden Race: 50 teams (combined male and female)
   • Family Mini-Marathon: 70 pairs
   • If applications exceed the quota, selection will be by lottery.

5. Participation Fee

   • Ekiden Race: 2,000 yen per team
     • Teams composed entirely of middle or high school students: Free
   • Family Mini-Marathon: 500 yen per pair
